This is the annual event held by the Tamil people of Lewisham, South-East London, in celebration of Christmas and New Year. In 1991, when Poopaalam was established, the members provided Thushi and Thanu with their first stage opportunity. This led to the formation of 'Kids Band'.
The sisters have been active participants of Poopaalam for 12 years.
Medical Institute of Tamils (MIOT):
Through the encouragement of Dr. and Mrs. Jeyanathan, Thushi and Thanu were given the chance to participate in annual events organised by MIOT.
Along with their sons, Shankar and Sharavanan, and other young MIOT members, Thushi and Thanu became part of the band 'Spring Blossoms'.
Ilaya Kaanakkuyil 1999-2005:
This is an annual singing competition founded by Mr. and Mrs. Thillainathan. It is split into two age categories: Bala Kaanakkuyil (under 12's) and Ilaya Kaanakuyil (12-19yrs).
T. T & Friends have been providing the background music since 1999.
Kaanakkuyil 2000-2005:
This is the adults' version of the song contest where participants are over the age of 19. The event takes place at the prestigious location, Logan Hall, University of London, with a seating capacity of up to 1,000. Through this event, the band have been privileged to play for the Canadian music directors 'New York' Raja and Kapileshwar, who attended the show as guest singers in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
In 2004, the guest singer was Sri. Manickam Yogeswaran, of classical fame.
Poobala Ragangal 2002-present (Komaantharai/Kamparmalai Old Students' Association):
This is a well-publicised, annual charity event organised by old student, Mr. Mahalingam Suthaharan and his friends. In 2003, the event's guest compere was the well-respected TV and Radio presenter, Mr. B. H. Abdul Hameed.
T. T & Friends were honoured to perform in his presence and were well appreciated by him.
TRO's 10 th Annual Kaanakkuyil 2007 in SWISS:
This year in May 2007, Thushi and Thanu were invited to attend TRO's 10 th Annual Kaanakkuyil 2007 in SWISS
as Judges to the event from UK.
They are grateful for this honour to TRO-Swiss and Venpura-White Pigeon-UK.
They enjoyed this 1st international judging experience with two other judges from the panel;
experienced Music Director Mr.Chandraboss from South India and Mr.Thamilchelvan from Tamil Music Group, France.

, children's drama produced again by leading dramatists Mr. and Mrs. Balendra. This drama has already been staged two times.
'Malaigal Vazhi Mariththaal' 2006-present
, 3rd children's drama production by Mr. and Mrs. Balendra. This drama has been staged once and there are plans for further performances.
