Both Thushi and Thanu were born and brought up in London. They can speak Tamil very well and are currently learning to read and write the language. They developed an interest in music at a very young age and started learning western music from Ms. Joanna Lilly. This combined with their interest in the Tamil culture, led them to discover their talent of ear music. They began listening to more Tamil songs and as a result, they developed the ability to hear and write the notations by themselves. Thushi and Thanu staged their first performance in 1991 and went on to form 'Kids Band' and 'Spring Blossoms' along with other young musicians in the UK. The sisters are indebted to their parents for their continuous encouragement and support. In addition to performing on stage, Thushi and Thanu have also given interviews for Tamil television, such as TTN, Vectone and CeeITV.
